THE RIGHT WAY TO SLEEP ON YOUR HAIR😴😴

THE RIGHT WAY TO SLEEP ON YOUR HAIR😴😴

We can be restless in our sleep and rough on our hair. This can lead to breakage, our hair drying out more quickly, and split ends. I suggest sleeping in a protective hairstyle to help with this. Sleeping with your hair back in a loose braid is the best way to sleep on your hair. You’ll be able to keep the hair smooth and free of knots and tangles for the next day.

I recommend sleeping in a silk bonnet or even on a silk pillowcase which will prevent frizz, breakage, and prolong the life of a styled look like a recent blowout.

IS GOING TO BED WITH WET HAIR BAD?

We’re all guilty of going to bed with wet hair fresh from our shower. But, if you can refrain from this as much as possible, at least aiming to rough dry your hair so it isn’t soaking wet, you’ll be preserving the health of your hair in the long run. By going to bed with your hair wet, you’re potentially damaging hair follicles—which can eventually result in weakened hair and hair loss.

I don’t recommend sleeping with your hair wet, as this will lead to knots and even breakage since your hair is most fragile when wet. If your hair is on the thicker end, it will also not dry as effortlessly and will still be wet in the morning, so I recommend drying completely before falling asleep.
